How to send a voice message online

Sending a voice message is faster than typing and more personal than a text. Follow these four steps to record and share a voice message with anyone, anywhere.

  1. 1

    Click Record

Press the record button above to start capturing audio from your microphone. Allow browser access when prompted. You can also upload an existing audio file.

  2. 2

    Record your message

Speak your message naturally. You have up to 3 minutes. A live waveform shows your audio levels in real time so you can see that everything is working.

  3. 3

    Review and send

Preview your message to make sure it sounds right. Optionally set a password for extra privacy, then click Send Message to upload it securely.

  4. 4

    Share the link

Copy the unique link and send it to anyone via text, email, or social media. They can listen instantly in their browser — no app or account needed.

Why send voice messages instead of text?

Voice messages carry nuance that text cannot. Whether you are reaching out to a friend, sending feedback to a colleague, or leaving a personal note, your voice conveys tone, emotion, and intent far more effectively than written words.

  • Convey emotion and tone

Text strips away inflection, sarcasm, and warmth. A voice message preserves how you actually sound, reducing misunderstandings and building connection.

  • Faster than typing

Speaking is three to four times faster than typing. Say what you need in seconds instead of minutes, especially for longer or more nuanced messages.

  • No app required

The recipient does not need to install anything. They click the link and listen in any modern browser on any device — desktop, tablet, or phone.

  • Private by default

Messages auto-delete after 7 days and you can add a password for extra protection. No account needed on either end.

Voice messages vs text messages

Both formats have their place, but voice messages win on speed, emotion, and personal touch. Here is how they compare.
