Notion Voice Notes, Filed Automatically

Connect a Notion database or page once. After that, a voice note becomes a filled-in row or a written page — no typing, no copy-pasting.

What you can do

There are two actions. Add a row to a database: SendMyVoice reads the database's columns — select, multi-select, number, date (including things like “yesterday”), checkbox, URL, email, phone, people — and fills in whichever ones your note mentions. Say “coffee with the client, $14.50, yesterday, marked as paid” and it lands as a row with the amount, date, and status already set.

Create a page: your note becomes a new page with a title, a short formatted summary, and the full transcript underneath. One recording can also produce several database rows at once — useful for logging a handful of expenses or tasks in a single note.

Two examples

“Interviewed Sarah for the design role — strong portfolio, weak on systems, maybe” becomes a row in a Candidates database: name, verdict, and notes filled in, ready to compare against the next candidate.

“Spent $23 on parking, $60 on the client dinner” becomes two rows in an Expenses database, each with its own amount and note — one recording, two entries.

How to set it up

  1. 1

Sign up for SendMyVoice — free, no card required.

  2. 2

Create a workflow and choose Notion as the destination.

  3. 3

Connect your Notion account through Notion's OAuth screen, then pick the database or page you want to send to and the action (row or page).

  4. 4

Record a voice note into that workflow. It shows up in Notion once transcription finishes.

Questions

What Notion permissions does SendMyVoice need?

You connect through Notion's own OAuth screen and pick which pages and databases to share — SendMyVoice only sees the ones you select. You can revoke access from your Notion integrations settings at any time.

Do I need Notion's own dictation or voice features?

No. SendMyVoice handles recording and transcription itself — you don't need to turn anything on inside Notion. Connect your account once, and the AI writes directly into the database row or page you choose.

What happens if a voice note doesn't match my database fields?

SendMyVoice fills in whatever it can match — a date, a select option, a number — and leaves the rest blank rather than guessing. The transcript is always saved with the recording so you can fill in anything it missed.

Can one voice note create more than one database row?

Yes. If you list several items in one recording — three expenses, for example — SendMyVoice can split them into separate rows in the same database, each with its own fields filled in.

Is the Notion integration available on the free plan?

Yes. Notion is available on the free plan, which includes 20 recordings a month and up to 3 connected integrations. Pro removes those limits.
