What arrives in the email

  • Subject: a title made from what you said, after “[SendMyVoice]”.
  • Summary: the main points in a few lines or bullet points, without the “um”s and repeats.
  • Transcript: everything you said, as text.
  • Audio: not attached. The recording stays in your dashboard, where you can play it or share it as a link.

How it works

  1. 1

Sign up with Google or email. Your account comes with a workflow called “Email to me” that sends to your sign-up address. There is nothing to confirm.

  2. 2

Open Record on your phone or computer, choose “Email to me” and talk.

  3. 3

The email arrives once transcription finishes.

Send it to someone else

Add a colleague's or client's address as an email workflow. They confirm once by email, and after that every recording in that workflow goes to them. Sending voice messages by email explains the setup.

Questions

Is voice to email free?

Yes. The Free plan allows 10 recordings a month, up to 3 minutes each, and every one can be emailed. Pro costs $6 a month and allows 500 recordings a month, up to 20 minutes each.

Is the audio attached to the email?

No. The email has the title, the summary and the transcript. The recording stays in your SendMyVoice dashboard, where you can play it.

Which languages work?

The spoken language is detected automatically, and the transcript is in the language you spoke. The title and summary follow it too, or you can pick a language under Advanced on the Record screen.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Recording works in the browser on iPhone, Android and desktop. On a phone you can add SendMyVoice to your home screen and open it like an app.

Can I send the email to someone else?

Yes. Create an email workflow with their address. They get one confirmation email, and after they click it, every recording in that workflow is sent to them.

To send the audio itself, see how to send a voice message by email.
